Custodium soluciones y sistemas is a young company founded in Zaragoza at the end of 2013.

Initially we developed a tracking device based on GPS technology and mobile networks produced in Spain. The device help Alzheimer’s patients to solve the problems of loss and disorientation.

We base our design on open hardware developments: Arduino and Futura Elettronica SIM908 board, used to create a first functional prototype. After completing the tests with this prototype we launched the manufacture of first serie in Spain, we sell the units to developers and service companies.

Paying attention to design and thinking about ergonomics to Alzheimer’s patients, we reduced the size to a minimum while maintaining low costs, we made the operation automatic and unassisted for relatives and carers only have to turn on the device and place it on the clothes of the sick, so also we made it wearable, leading to the first GPS tracking solution that meets all these features in one product in the world.

Custodium’s project was accepted in CEEI Aragón (European Center of Innovation Enterprises) and our office is currently in CEEI Zaragoza.

Custodium took part in Open PILOT 2014 and managed to get through to the final.

Custodium participated in the II Forum of Fundacion Aragon Invierte and  got three investors as provided in their business plan, getting the project off the ground.

Custodium gave qorkshops in Arduino Day Madrid and in Mini maker Faire at MediaLab Prado.
